# Manage DevUps notification preferences

> Control which email and in-app notifications DevUps sends you, including team invitations, path updates, and team activity alerts.

DevUps lets you choose exactly which events trigger an email or an in-app alert. All notification preferences are saved automatically when you toggle them — there is no Save button.

## Open notification settings

Go to **Settings → Notifications** tab, or navigate to `/settings/notifications`.

## Email notifications

Email notifications are sent to the address on your account.

| Notification              | Default | Description                                     |
| ------------------------- | ------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Team Invitations**      | On      | Sent when someone invites you to join a team    |
| **Learning Path Updates** | On      | Sent when a learning path you follow is updated |
| **Weekly Digest**         | Off     | A weekly summary of your learning progress      |

## In-app notifications

In-app notifications appear inside DevUps while you are using the platform.

| Notification      | Default | Description                                         |
| ----------------- | ------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **New Content**   | On      | Alerts you when new learning paths become available |
| **Team Activity** | On      | Alerts you about activity in teams you belong to    |

## How preferences are saved

  Notification preferences are saved in your current browser. If you clear your browser data or switch to a different browser or device, your preferences will reset to their defaults.

Each toggle saves immediately — changes take effect the next time a qualifying event occurs.
